2004 marks the thirty-second year anniversary of MPL Construction Company. Founded in Chattanooga, Tennessee, by Russell W. Lloyd and partners, MPL was first formed as a subsidiary of a larger general contractor already operating in the area. In the early 1970s, MPL specialized in warehouse construction utilizing unique pre-engineered metal building knowledge and experience.

Demand for pre-engineered buildings grew steadily and in 1980 Russell purchased the outstanding shares of MPL and became sole owner. The Company then expanded to provide a broader range of general contracting services. Over the years, pre-engineered building technology became more sophisticated. In 1980 we began our association with Butler Manufacturing –the world’s premier manufacturer of pre-engineered building systems, Since Butler Manufacturing has consistently led the industry in product development, our association with Butler has greatly enhanced our competitive edge in the East Tennessee and North Georgia Market. As a long-standing member of the select group of Butler Builders, MPL Construction Company provides the highest quality of pre-engineered building systems available today.
